Regional Security Office
The Regional Security Office led by Officer Chris Berry is responsible for all embassy security programs, to include the protection of U.S. government facilities, residences and personnel in Burkina Faso. The Regional Security Officer (RSO) serves as the advisor to the U.S. Ambassador on all security-related matters and manages all embassy security programs. The RSO also conducts liaison activities with Burkina Faso law enforcement and security agencies to ensure a secure working and living environment for Americans citizens living in Burkina Faso. The Regional Security Office manages a 160 person Local Guard Force (LGF), which provides protection for Embassy facilities and residences, a Local Investigator who conducts liaison activities and assists in background investigations, and an administrative staff.
