Internet Training for Ministry of Parliament Relations

On Thursday October 16, 2008 the Martin Luther King Library organized an internet training program for the Ministry of Parliamentary Relations.  Nine Ministry officials attended the one-half day training conducted by Françoise Sidibe, Director of the Martin Luther King library. The training opened with greetings by Joann Lockard, the Director of the American Cultural Center, who expressed how pleased the U.S. Embassy was to host the participants.  The training included an introduction to search engines, sites for free books and journals, and sites for scientific and medical information. The training also included information on official U.S. Government policies via the State Department and the U.S. Embassy websites.  Every participant had their own computer during the training and print copies of the presentation were handed out. Some of the participants said that it was their first time to have this type of training, which will help them improve their work.  Several of the participants expressed an interest in receiving more instruction.
