    July 10-12, 2014, the U. S. Embassy organized a workshop in Koudougou for 15 American Language Center (ALC) administrators and English teachers involved in the English Access Microscholarship Program.

    On July 10, 2014 the U. S. Embassy’s English Program Specialist joined administrators and teachers from the American Language Center (ALC) to visit the Access Program class ALC has been teaching at the Lycée Provincial in Koudougou.

After years of their children struggling in elementary school and not a lot of free time for their mothers, they knew that they needed to do something for pre-school aged children.

    Great success with Geography Club by Volunteer Max Miller

    In 2014, Geography Club has been a huge success for Max. Taking place on Thursdays and Saturdays and engaging 20 CM1 (5th grade) girls and boys, Geography Club focuses on practicing using maps, learning world geography, and becoming familiar with Burkina Faso.
