About the Embassy

The U.S. Seal

The American Embassy is composed of various sections that work to improve political, economic, and cultural relations between Burkina Faso and the United States.  In each office's web page you will find a more detailed description of their contribution to the mission's work, along with related information, links, and relevant resources.

The Embassy is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM and on Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM local time. The local time is equivalent to the GMT. The Embassy is closed during American and local holidays.

• The main entrance for the U.S. Embassy Ouagadougou is at 602 Avenue Raoul Follereau, Koulouba, Secteur 4

• The entrance for the Consular Office and the Commercial Section is located on Avenue John F. Kennedy, Koulouba, Secteur 4  (gate has no number).

• The main entrance for the American Cultural Center is located at 674 Avenue John F. Kennedy, Koulouba, Secteur 4

• The entrance for the Information Resource Center is located at 620 Avenue John F. Kennedy, Koulouba, Secteur 4

• The American Language Center is loacted at 1406 Avenue Bassawarga
